Gangajal Nature Foundation is extending helping hand to victims of Bihar flood disaster. Our president Mr. Vijay Mudshingikar along with our Honorable member Shri. Shyam Manchekar, Shri. Sureshchandra Varghade and Dr. B. P. Kadam are on the way to Bihar with clothes, medicines and some more helpful appliences. They will be there for 4 days and will carry out distribution of these goods by themselves.

We are well aware that its still small amount of help as compared to what is required. We have done our best in collecting this and will provide it to the people need this the most. Thank you all who have contributed to this activity by us.

We are just transporters and distributors. May all the needy people get enough food, clothing and shelter as soon as possible. May not anybody sleep hungry there. May disaster like this not happen ever….

पर्यावरण ही संज्ञा, त्याचा विनाश ही आजची प्रमुख आणि गंभीर सामजिक समस्या बनली आहे. परंतु त्याविषयी आजही सर्वसामान्य अनभिज्ञच आहेत.  प्रदुषण, दुष्काळ, पूर, पाणी, जमीन या व अशा अनेक समस्या केवळ नैसर्गिक नाहीत तर त्या मनुष्याच्या बेफिकीर व्रुतीचे द्योतक आहेत. त्याचे धागे पर्यावरणात किती खोलवर रुजत, पसरत चालले आहेत आणि त्यातून मानवी जीवनाचे एक महाभयंकर मरणचित्र विणले जात आहे. या सगळ्याचे विचारांना प्रव्रुत्त करणारे आणि वाचकांच्या संवेदनांना आवाहन करणारे संशोधनत्मक मर्मिक विश्लेषण याचिच ही ‘बखर’. . . .

Ganga pollution in Varanasi

The River Ganga At Dharasu Bend, Uttarakhand.

ऑक्टोबरचा पहिला आठवडा हा वन्यप्राणी सप्ताह म्हणुन जगभर साजरा केला जातो. जंगलांच्या वन्यप्राण्यांच्या संरक्षणासाठी शाळा व महाविद्यालयामध्ये परिसंवाद व व्याख्याने यातून विद्यार्थ्यानां प्रबोधनपर मार्गदर्शन केले जाते. स्वयंसेवी संस्थाही या कामी पुढाकार घेतात. समाजाच्या सगळ्याच थरातून अशा प्रकारच्या प्रबोधनाची अत्यंतीक गरज आहे. राजकिय पक्षाच्या फलकावर वाघ हा प्राणी अत्यंत निर्भयपणे वावरताना दिसला तरी एकूणच व्याघ्र जमातीवर प्राण संकट आल्याने त्यांचे अस्तित्वच धोक्यात आले आहे. १९५२ साली भारतातून ‘चित्ता’ नामषेश झाला. वन्यप्राण्यांच्या वस्तीस्थानांवरच मानवी आक्रमण होत असल्याने वन्यप्राणीही मानवी वस्त्याच्या आसपास भटकताना आढऴतात त्यातूनच नरभक्षक होतात अथवा रहदारीवर येऊन अपघाताने मरण पावतात.

भारतीय राजघटनेमध्ये पर्यावरणाचा समतोल राखण्यासाठी नद्यां, सरोवरे, वने व त्यामधील निसर्गसाधन संपत्ती आणि वन्यप्राणी, पशूपक्षी, जलचरांचे रक्षण करणे हे सरकारचे आद्य कर्तव्य आहे असे म्ह्टले आहे.

हे फक्त सरकारचे काम आहे असे म्हणत सर्वसामान्यांनी आपली जबाबदारी टाळणे योय आहे का ?
